Group hXc released a new album OX from hardcore rock band Coalesce. This looks like a really popular album so this release is a great chance to get it with few weeks in advance against store date.

Avant-Hardcore vets Coalesce have announced the completion of their first full-length endeavor since 1998. Ox is 14 songs totalling about 35 minutes. They recorded the album at Blacklodge Studios with Ed Rose, a mainstay in the Coalesce sonic composition. Ox will be released and nationally distributed by Relapse Records sometime in April or May. For you hXc purists, there will be a vinyl version available.

Los Angeles resident Danny Saber is not only known for his years playing guitar and bass with the Manchester, England-based Black Grape — he is also known for his skills as a producer, remixer, engineer, and DJ, and has worked with a long list of major artists ranging from Sheryl Crow to Madonna to Public Enemy. Saber is not an easy artist to categorize; he has strong alternative rock credentials, but he has also embraced everything from hardcore rap to industrial to trip-hop. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Saber was seriously into funk, heavy metal, and hard rock when he was growing up; his first experience playing on the L.A. club scene was in a hip-hop-influenced funk band called Proper Grounds. As time went on, he became even more eclectic in his tastes — so eclectic that he eventually ended up having both rapper Busta Rhymes and veteran country-pop singer Willie Nelson on his resumé.

Kyle Eastwood grew up in Carmel, California and is the eldest son of the Hollywood star Clint Eastwood. While doing his homework Kyle remembers listening to records of jazz stars such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Miles Davis playing in the house. Eastwood Senior had been attending the Monterey Jazz Festival since it began in 1958 and when his children were born it became a yearly family outing. Kyle’s childhood had jazz as its soundtrack and he credits his father with introducing him to the joys of the bass line. Kyle’s first memory of playing music was when Clint taught him how to play the left hand bass line of “Boogie Woogie” while he played the right hand solo over the top.


Kyle Eastwood’s latest record, Metropolitain, is due to be released in June 2009 in the US. It was recorded in Paris and has formed from collaborations with some of the artists he admires most on the current scene: drummer Manu Katché, trumpeter Till Brönner, French star vocalist Camille and pianist Eric Legnini.
Co-produced by Erin Davis (son of Miles) and Kyle’s long term writing partner Michael Stevens, the new album is set to capture the attention of the jazz world with its forward thinking style and stars which represent the cream of today’s jazz musicians followed by a worldwide tour in late 2009

Im not sure how popular this band is outside of Australia but here is the fourth studio album called “Inshalla” from the popular Australian rock band Eskimo Joe that is due out on 29th of May. Eskimo Joe is an Australian rock band formed in Perth, Western Australia in 1997. The band consists of vocalist and bassist Kavyen Temperley, drummer and guitarist Joel Quartermain and guitarist Stuart MacLeod.

Inshalla is a wonderfully unguarded and inspiring set that harnesses the bands fresh outlook and channels it through new methods of songwriting and arranging. Infectious drum grooves pulse beneath Temperleys emotive vocals and form an infectious dynamic that sees melodies to soar. Light keyboard flourishes, a single violin, inventive guitar tones tempered with a pleasing amount of space all paint this vivid portrait of a year in the life of Eskimo Joe. The first single from the album is “Foreign Land”, which was released in April 2009.

This February marked three years since J Dilla’s passing, three years which could have been his most productive, coming up as he was at the time of his death. In the absence of his dedicated and prolific work methods, the world has seen a few posthumous releases - legitimately or not, people have scoured Dilla’s hard drives for fully formed and casual ideas alike. Ultimately, releases done with the right intentions have been welcomed warmly, The Shining and Ruff Draft among them, and now Jay Stay Paid, a 25 track collection of beats executive produced by none other than “Ma Dukes” a.k.a. Dilla’s mother, who was extremely close to her son during his final moments and during the recording of the classic Donuts. If that isn’t cred enough, Jay Stay Paid was culled under the musical supervision of acclaimed producer Pete Rock, who was high up in Jay Dee’s mind when it came to beat production.

Mixed and arranged by Pete Rock, the album is mostly instrumental, but features a few familiar voices such as Black Thought and MF Doom (who has recently added his voice to one or two other Dilla beats in various contexts). It comes out June 2 on the Natural Sounds label.

He sounds like a mix of Gangstarr and a lost member of the Wu-Tang Clan. His lyrics are good, his flow is choppy, but still OK and it is the type of album that is good for a road trip. The songs do sound similar but they are, at the least, pretty good. It is the type of album where half-way through you will be bobbing your head and say to yourself, “Hey, this is pretty good stuff.”

Other lyricists have taken notice to the collaboration of a top producer and ambitious rapper. Double Barrel features a plethora of rappers, including M.O.P.’s Lil’ Fame among others. This album is directed towards true hip-hop/rap fans. It probably won’t set the charts on fire but like Marco says, “We’re not trying to take it back, we just wanted to make an album that knocks.”

“I think the sound of the album is not the most popular or trendy, but we’re going to crash the party,” says Torae, “ We’re coming in with this sound and we’re coming in doing what we want to do.”

Sounds like a true rapper, not out to make a buck, but to honor the art of rap.

The album was remastered and re-released first in late 1994, then again in the Bonfire box set in 1997, and as part of the AC/DC Remasters Series in 2003. It sold an estimated 45 million copies to date, making it second only to Michael Jackson’s Thriller as the best-selling album of all-time as well as the best selling album ever released by a band. On 13 December 2007, the RIAA certified it 22× Multi Platinum, recognising sales of 22 million in the United States.

The group’s fifth studio album, The E.N.D. (”The Energy Never Dies”), will be released on June 9, 2009. “Boom Boom Pow” was released on February 22 online and March 30 on iTunes. It has become the group’s first song to reach #1, where it has remained for eight weeks, on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 1 in Australia, in Canada, and in the UK. The song Boom Boom Pow has been a huge hit on many sites such as iTunes, on the radio & on youtube, the official video clip has had 6.5 million views in the past few months which is close to a record.

At the end of the Hysteria World Tour in October 1988, Def Leppard vowed to the press that their next album would not take another four years to be released, and quickly reconvened weeks later to start work. However, Steve Clark’s alcoholism was taking a turn for the worse. Whereas touring had kept him sober onstage, offstage his condition was beginning to affect his work in the studio. In addition, Mutt Lange was unavailable to return as producer as he was working with Canadian rocker Bryan Adams on Waking up the Neighbours.

Thin Air is Peter Hammill’s twenty-ninth solo album of original songs and follows an eventful few years (a heart attack in December 2003 and a hugely successful Van der Graaf Generator reunion in 2004).

Singularity, his last solo work, was released in 2006 and was seen as Peter’s most innovative and important release since his late 70s/early 80s masterpieces, The Future Now and A Black Box.

After recent tours with VDGG, the recordings on Thin Air mark a return to wholly solo territory, with Peter playing and singing every note on the album.

The album resulting from this epiphany, Wait For Me, is a radical departure from Moby’s recent albums- last year’s paean to the dance floor, Last Night, 2008’s flirtation with modern rock, Hotel, the shimmering ambience of 2002’s 18, and the zeitgeist-defining melancholy electronica of 1999’s Play. Liberated from the pressures of trying to please himself at the same time as the industry, in making Wait For Me Moby decided to forego the expensive studios, state-of-the-art equipment, big name guest artists, and phalanxes of graphic designers and image consultants that have characterized some of his previous albums. “There’s something so relaxing about doing everything yourself, and not trying to second-guess the market,” Moby says. “It’s nice to try to do things for the right reasons- just make a record because you want to make a record.”

Back from the Dead is the third studio album by Spinal Tap. Released on June 16, 2009, it is the first release under the Spinal Tap name since 1992’s Break Like the Wind. A Man’s Thoughts is the upcoming sixth studio album R&B singer Ginuwine. It was set to be released June 2 but has now been pushed back to June 23, 2009. The first single from the album is “Last Chance”, which was produced by Bryan-Michael Cox and written by Adonis Shropshire. The single speaks about a man’s plea for one last chance to prove his love. “‘Last Chance’ reflects the maturity of my personal growth over the last few years,” explains the singer. A video for the single was recently shot in Los Angeles and will feature appearances from singer Tyrese and actress LisaRaye. It was directed by Juwan Lee, who has also done work with Mario, Nelly and Young Capone. “Last Chance” was released to Urban AC radio on March 3 and was released to mainstream urban markets on March 24. On March 26, on 106 & Park Ginuwine stated that his second single will feature Missy Elliott and describe to album as a sort of reunion. He also stated that he had not spoken to Timbaland within 5 years, because they simply grew apart. The next single is scheduled to be “Get Involved”, which is produced by Timbaland and features Timbaland and Missy Elliott.

This NY-based quintet melds the deep grooves of blues and R&B with guitar work that recalls JJ Cale and Little Feat. Formed in 2002, the band’s first proper album was a live set released in 2004, followed by five “instant live” albums from their December 2005 tour, which made them a favorite in jam band circles. While he respects the jam band scene, founding member Reid Genauer believes his band’s focus on songcraft puts them in a different league.
